Jodi Visits!

Today, after school, Jodi came to visit. Drew had fun flirting. I think we're going to have to watch this kid...

Dinner with the Knipps and Werlings

On Sunday we had a wonderful meal of beef stew with all the fixins' at the Knipp's house. Good food, good friends, good times.

Some Favorites

While Drew should have been taking his afternoon nap, we were able to capture some really great moments. Lately, Drew has been surprising us every day with new tricks. In fact, tonight he went to sleep with no crying. Have we turned a new corner?

I'm a Big Boy Now!

Here is Drew sitting in his new highchair! We tried the cereal again tonight with a bit more success.

We're Back to the World of Blogging!

We're back after a 3 week hiatus. I had to go back to work February 1st, so I don't have the time like I used to. But, I am learning to manage, so hopefully, I'll post regularly again!

Saturday Morning Breakfast

With going back to work, I am truly appreciating weekends so much more. We get to be together as a family and catch up after a hectic week. This morning we met up with our good friends, Paul and Kristen at The Bongo Room in Wicker Park. P & K are expecting their 2nd child in March/April and took the weekend to get away and get some much needed R&R. Drew was a good boy! But, then we got home and he cried for an hour and a half. Better at home than at the restaurant, I suppose!

Umm...I Could Use Some Help Here!

Sweet Boy

We love our sweet little angel!

Drew is Four Months!

On Friday, Drew turned four months! We celebrated by buying a highchair and trying rice cereal for the first time. As of now, I don't think he's a big fan, but with persistence, I'm sure he will be wanting it faster than we can spoon it into his mouth!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Lincoln's Birthday

Monday, February 12 was a day off work! I got to stay home with Drew and we had Amy, Laura, Laura, and Erin over for lunch. Laura made Reubens and cupcakes to celebrate Amy's birthday.

A Day Out with Mom and Dad

I'm Growing!

Although Drew doesn't go to the doctor to get weighed for another 2 weeks, it is evident that he is getting bigger! We are constantly going through his closet to weed out things that are too small. He is pretty lean in the body, but has super chubby cheeks! I think he might be tall, but I guess only time will tell.

Superbowl

We went to Mary and Rob's for a very quiet Superbowl party, where Drew watched his first Superbowl. Don't worry Bears, we still love you!

Drew Rolls Over!

After teaching Thursday and Friday, I came home from work ready for a weekend to spend with my baby boy. He must have known mommy was sad about leaving him and missing out on his milestones, because when I put him in his crib for tummytime, he rolled over! Developmentally, I'm not sure if babies typically roll from stomach to back first, or from back to stomach, but he rolled from his tummy to his back. He is getting very good at tummy time, too! He can hold is head up at a 90 degree angle. I think the weight of his noggin helps him roll over--he leans to the side and then the rest of his body follows! Yea Drew!

Mommy's First Day Back to Work

On February 1st, I went back to work. After many tears the day before, I put on a brave face and returned to my classroom. It's hard leaving Drew everyday, but I am enjoying being back at school. I took these in the morning before I left.
