Daddy's 8K and the Zoo!

Grant ran in a Petco Save the Animals 8K, so we went down to the lakefront to cheer him on. After he finished the race, we decided that since the zoo was right next to our parking spot, we'd visit the animals. This was Drew's first time to the zoo! He loved seeing all the animals. If you look at the picture of the sleeping leopard, you'll see a little visitor in the cage. What a brave, little bugger! I can't imagine what a scene it would be if that squirrel became supper. Children would be scarred for life...

Happy Birthday, Luke!

Today we drove out to Sterling, IL to help Luke celebrate his 2nd birthday. Karina's once-preemie girls, who are two months younger than Drew, are already as big, if not bigger than him! You go, gurls!

We're Back!

So, after a "short" hiatus, we are back to the world of blogging. In short, we didn't have a computer that would allow us to download pictures, but now we are up and running again. There is much to catch up on, but I will leave you with this picture comparison for now.

Amy and Erik's Wedding Reception

Amy and Erik got married at a small, family ceremony in NH in August. Their Chicago reception was on Saturday at Winnetka Women's Club.

Last Hurrah

As a last hurrah before going back to school, a large group of us celebrated Labor Day by going out to eat at Reza's in Andersonville. Kristen, our dear friend from Michigan, was able to join us, along with her son, Fletcher.

Mackenzie's 2nd Birthday Party!

Today we went to Little Gym for Mackenzie's birthday party. The kids had a great time playing with the parachute, climbing over the padded mats, and crawling across the inflatable trampoline. Happy birthday, Mackenzie! We love you!
