Play Date with Brian and Faith

Today we went to the Barilla's house for a playdate. We all played so nicely together and we even got to go to the park right next door! Thanks for being such wonderful hosts!

Cousin Visit

Grant's family from Boston came into town, so we headed downtown for the day. This was Drew's first train ride, and he really loved it! After some shopping on the Mag Mile and dropping Drew off at home, we headed over to Club Lago for some good food and good times. Thanks, Guido!

Gymnastics

Drew had his first gymnastics class this week! It included a lot of following directions, so we'll see how it goes. He is taking the class with one of his best friends, Kira. Kira can listen to the teacher very well; I hope Drew will follow Kira's example!
If you look in the picture with the parachute, you'll see Drew running with his mouth open. He's actually screaming. He clearly did not want to participate in that activity.

Kohl Children's Museum

We went to the Kohl Children's Museum with Laura, Vince, Sonja, Cole, Ava, and Grandma Julie. Of course Drew fell asleep when we were 2 minutes from arriving. He slept in his stroller for the first 20 minutes, but I knew he would be so sad if he missed out. So, I woke him up, which was probably a mistake. He was quite the pistol that morning, but in the end we all had a great time!

Hanging with Leo

Drew had a chance to spend some time with his little buddy, Leo. In case you can't see their t-shirts, they say, "Lock up your Daughters." So fitting...

Happy Father's Day!

To honor the fathers in our lives, we had a BBQ with my family where Grant got to test out his new rib rack. We also met Grant's mom for a nice dinner at Maggianos. Thanks Dad and Grant for being some of the best dads around! I love you both!

ABC's

Drew has been learning his ABC's recently. His favorite letters are "Y" and "Z." Don't mind my singing. And, since my camera is broken, I can't see what I'm filming, so it's totally hit or miss. Someone, who shall remain nameless, commented that many of the pictures on our blog are of Drew in his highchair. At first I was slightly offended, but then I thought about why this was. I realized that this is the ONLY time that Drew will sit still. He has to be restrained in order for me to take a decent picture of him, especially since I can't see what I'm taking a picture of. So, that explains the numerous pictures of Drew in his highchair.

Little Boy

My baby is growing up so fast! Just in the last couple of weeks I have noticed that he is changing so much. I can tell in these pictures that he doesn't have his "baby" face anymore. I miss Baby Drew, but watching him grow up and learn things has been amazing.

Controlled Chaos

The Humanitarians had our monthly dinner, but this time we decided to include the kiddos. Kristine was in town for a wedding shower and she brought Natalie, whom none of us had ever met! She adorable and did really well with everything that was going on. We tried to get all the kids to sit and take a picture, but as you can see, that's an almost impossible task.
