Dinner with the Werlings

Big Boy Seat!

Today we christened Drew's Britax. He finally reached the 20# maximum for his bucket seat. As convenient as the bucket was, I won't miss it--I'm tired of having shooting pains down my arm and back from lugging it around! Drew seems to like his seat. We'll see how long that lasts.

Great Grandma Elaine

We took Drew to see Grant's grandma today. She has almost as much energy as Drew!

Uncle David

Drew had fun with his Uncle David.

Lunch with Barb and Luke

On Saturday, we went back into SF to have lunch with Grant's Aunt Barb and cousin Luke. We had lunch at a great restaurant right on the pier and then walked around Pier 39 and saw the noisy Sea Lions! They sounded similar to Drew in the restaurant earlier that day. Drew had been an angel the whole trip until about 3/4 of the way through lunch. Then he decided to start screaming. Not crying, yelling. Nothing would work--the pacifier, shushing, rocking. I had to get up and leave the dining area because he was screaming so loudly. We eventually just ended up leaving. I don't know where that came from! Hopefully, it's not a glimpse into the future! Thanks, Barb and Luke for a great afternoon!

Dinner at the Marshes

The Marsh Family (Amy's family)graciously welcomed us into their home and hosted a wonderful dinner. Thanks, Marsh Family, for a delicious meal, good company, and lots of laughs!

Napa Valley

We drove out to spend an afternoon in Napa Valley. We packed a picnic lunch and a bottle of wine and enjoyed the beautiful weather. After lunch, we walked around the little town of Helena.

Fisherman's Wharf Part I

We visited Fisherman's Wharf for lunch and some sight-seeing. There's nothing like fresh seafood! Unfortunately for us Chicagoans, we don't know what "fresh" seafood is! Since Drew loves his ba ba, it wasn't surprising that he went after Daddy's "ba ba!"

David's Murals

We got to see one of David's projects--a mural painted on the side of a coffee shop! This was Drew right before he spit up all over Daddy and the floor.

Finally...

Drew has been "eating" solids for about a month and a half now. Each day gets better and better in regards to his appetite, but while we were on vacation, his appetite exploded! It came in like a lamb, but went out like a lion!

Aunt Amy

Drew loves his Aunt Amy! And, he loves to stick his fingers in her mouth!
