Fun New Toy

Grandma brought over a new toy car for Drew. He loves it! He is still learning how to "drive" it, though. His feet tend to get stuck under the car. But, he like climbing in and out and filling the car with gas. I just hope he's not paying as much for gas as we are!

Mexican?

We found out today that Drew LOVES guacamole. Needless to say, we've been eating a lot of it lately, which is fine by me!

The Perfect Find

When we did our annual Ravenswood garage sale outing this year, we made a point to look for a Kelty baby carrier and low and behold, we found one in perfect condition! And, for only $5! Gotta love garage sales!

Another New Toy

All By Myself

Drew's stubborn personality has been very apparent lately. He loves to walk up the stairs and then walk down the stairs. He refuses to let anyone help him, but he calls me over to make sure I am watching. He definitely is "on the go" all the time. It's going to be a tiring summer!

A New Toy

Grandma Nyquist bought Drew a new toy for the yard. It seems to be a hit so far, especially the eating of the sand.

Mother's Day

Today, I woke up to breakfast in bed. Short-lived, due to a wiggling 18 month boy, but still breakfast in bed. We spent the day with family and just enjoyed being a family.
And, Drew experienced his first ice cream cone. He enjoyed it so much, he wouldn't let go of it.

Goin' to Grandma's

The Trip Home

On the way home from Michigan, we got stuck in some unexpected traffic. We had planned to be home before dinner, but that didn't happen. Drew got hungry, so we made the dreaded stop. McDonalds. I was a pretty happy mom when at first, Drew cried when I put his greasy dinner on the tray. But, as soon as that irresistable, ketchup-covered fry touched his lips, he gladly ate his dinner. Notice the price of gas in the background. I wish I could say it was still that cheap!

Michigan Visit

We went to Holland, MI for the weekend for Grant's sister's college graduation. We stayed with our dear friends, the Moores and had a wonderful time. Drew had so much fun playing with Jane and Fletch. The weather was beautiful and the company amazing. Congrats, Kat!
