A Boy and His Dad

Drew loves spending time with his Daddy.

A Boy and His Four-Legged Dog

Drew loves his dog and his dog loves him.

Experimenting with Christmas Pictures

Yesterday we took some possible pictures of Drew for our Christmas photo. We had some fun, and surprisingly, Drew was very cooperative. It wasn't until about 10 pm that he gave us a run for our money. Needless to say, we didn't end up getting some sleep until 3:30 am. It was a rough night. Hopefully, tonight will be better.

Drew is Sick

For the past 8 days, Drew has had a cold. We keep thinking that it's clearing up, and then it seems to get worse. There is nothing worse than seeing your baby miserable. It breaks my heart when he looks at me with those sad eyes, like he's saying, "Why, Mom?" To make matters worse, we think he has an eye infection. It's so frustrating--I thought breast-fed babies weren't supposed to get sick????

Just Some Fun Pictures

Drew's clogs were a present from Jane Werling and Becky Knipp. They are supposed to be just decorative, but I thought it would be fun to try them on him. They fit him perfectly!

Cole Visits from Iowa

This week Sonja (Dahlgren) Bruxvoort is visiting from Iowa. She, Cole, Laura and Julie all stopped by to visit. Seeing Cole made me realize how fast they really grow up! When I picked him up, he felt like such a big kid, and he's only 16 months old. I know Drew is growing, not only by the way he eats, but he made the big switch from Newborn sized diapers to Size 1. He probably could have made the switch a little earlier...oops. He goes to the doctor this week, so we'll really see how much he's grown. Grant weighed himself and then weighed himself while holding Drew--the scale said he weighed 10.5 #s! I find that a little hard to believe, though. 3.5 weeks ago he was only 7 # 12 oz. We'll keep you posted.

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

Tonight we went to get our Christmas tree. Last year it took us (ok, me)quite a while to pick out the perfect tree. But this year we did it in record time. It was the first tree we looked at. It was kind of odd to be getting a tree in 65 degree weather. It felt almost wrong. But, we decided to take the opportunity while thn e weather is still somewhat decent, considering by Thursday it's supposed to be 25 degrees. Only in Chicago.

P.S. Drew told me he wanted to wear his red and white striped sweatshirt to commemorate the beginning of the holiday season! And then there's his socks for all you Swedish speakers.
