No More Sleeping!
For a long time, Drew went to sleep very easily in his crib. Something happened, however, when we were in Iowa. He learned to crawl, and he mastered pulling himself up. Now, when we put him down in his crib, he doesn't stay "down." He now immediately pulls himself up and screams at the top of his lungs. This has been going on now for the past couple weeks and we are TIRED! Everyone says that a baby's sleep is interrupted when they reach significant milestones in their lives, and that it's just a phase. I hope it passes soon because I can't take much more!

Iowa-Part I

To celebrate my grandma's 90th birthday, we headed out to Iowa for a long weekend. My mom, dad, Drew, and I drove out while Grant flew out later. Just to fill you in, my grandma lives in a town of less than 700 people. So, we celebrated her birthday with family and her close friends at the Senior Center "downtown," which consists of a post office, library, restaurant (which is closing), and saloon (as my mother calls it). Lots of time was spent with aunts, uncles, cousins, and kids of cousins.

4th of July

Every year our neighborhood has a 4th of July parade where neighbors walk their dogs and push/pull/carry their babies and watch their kids ride/skate/walk. The streets are closed down to traffic and we make a big loop and end up at the neighborhood school for snacks and games. This year, we walked it with our friends Jenn and Matt.
