Fun with Mackenzie

The Schmidts came over for dinner and Mackenzie and Drew played so nicely together! The slide was the popular toy of the evening.

Happy Birthday, Jakob!

Jakob is three! It seems like just yesterday that we went to visit him in the hospital when he was born. Happy Birthday, Jakob! We love you!

Polo Match

Our friends, Rob and Mary, invited us to a polo match over the weekend. We had never been to one before, so it was quite an interesting experience. We watched the match from the sidelines where we tailgated with about 50 other people. Drew loved the horses! It was his first time seeing horses up close. He was even able to ride one! After the match, we had a wonderful dinner at the clubhouse. Drew even got to feed carrots to the horses, but I think he liked nibbling on them just as much as the horses did! It was the perfect day to escape the city and spend time with good friends.

4th of July

This year for the 4th, we started our day with a neighborhood parade. We decorated Drew's stroller and walked through the streets to the local school. After the parade, we headed up to Jill and Kevin's new house in Barrington for a Nyquist family reunion. We were only missing David and Amy.
